I trained and began contracting to the Mercy Learning Center, Mandeville Campus as a Learning Specialist for nearly three years. While on staff at MLC I gained valuable insight working with children of differing diagnoses and levels of need, their parents, and clinical care providers. Because my background is medical, my evaluation, diagnostic and case management skill set were a terrific asset in clinical case management and I soon learned how to interface with the school system, as well as compile and present documentation to access services for my clients.

I am a Learning Specialist working in the Mandeville area. I provide Academic Therapy to children with neurological processing dysfunctions manifesting as Dyslexia, auditory processing issues, problems with comprehension of written materials, or higher order thinking skills primarily using the Lindamood-Bell programs and methodology. I also offer individual remediation to re-teach classroom materials and prepare my clients for exams by incorporating the materials into their sessions.
