I have been teaching for the last 19 years. I have taught everything from 1st to 8th grade. My favorite subject to teach is Math. My students (85%-90%) would usually always perform end of the year State Test and on any test that showed grade equivalency they usually performed one to two years ahead of their grade.
Teaching Style
My teaching style has always been about quality. I know that whatever I teach today, will last forever with my students. So if I don't teach, they wouldn't learn anything and I never wanted anyone to ever say "She didn't teach us anything while we were in her class."
I also know that I have a job to come to every day and so do the students. I want to want to come to work and I want my students to want to want to come to school, but still learn. So yes we have fun, but I aslo make sure that learning takes place first and foremost.
