Experience Summary
Graduated with honors from Modesto Junior College with an Associates in Music. Four semesters of Piano at the college, five semesters of Voice, four semesters of Music Theory and ear training, four semesters of choir, and two semesters of Electronic Music. As a student I have a firm grasp on music fundamentals and the basics of music theory as well as some voice and piano pedagogy. Aside from my experience within the field of my degree, I've always received very high grades in math and english classes. English and composition (essays, poetry, etc) are my true strengths; however, math also comes very easily to me. I have tutored in both math and english before and have some experience teaching music. I also work as a gymnastics coach and have three years of experience in teaching my own classes.
Teaching Style
I feel like I'm very much a hands-on type of instructor. I really believe that the best way to understand something is to keep practicing it and so I like to guide and help speed up this process by giving lots of examples and feedback. I also believe that there's no use learning something if you don't learn it right and it's that belief that makes me so dedicated to my job.
My Hobbies
Singing, playing piano, reading, gymnastics, travel, eating, etc :)
