Experience Summary
I worked for Project Transformation through SMU. I tutored high risk and underprivileged children in Oakcliff with after school homework help. Their ages ranged from 5-12 years old. I along with my fellow tutors also provided extra intellectually stimulating activities when they finished their homework such as future planning and education regarding different cultures.
Teaching Style
I provide as much one on one attention as possible. I provide examples, write out explanations using the board, and try to help the child progress without giving them the answer.
My Hobbies
I enjoy listening to music and going to the gym. I also love to draw with pencil or colored pencil. Lastly I enjoy baking desserts with friends.
Other Comments
I am a dedicated, warm individual that enjoys seeing a child learn something new and improve their skills! I hope to be a physician in the future, but desire to have experience in something other than the medical field so I can be a versatile person. I chose tutoring since I enjoyed it so much during my tutor position at Project Transformation.
