Experience Summary
A licensed educator for 13 years, I have developed a deep understanding of students and what makes them motivated to learn. I appreciate the challenge of developing strategies to refocus student learning and make them more accountable and actively involved. No two students learn and develop skills in the same way and I embrace that by using tools to engage students where they are and then pushing them to discover where they can be. I have taught middle school social studies and literacy and enjoy the complexity and creativity of middle schoolers.
Teaching Style
I am a Love and Logic teacher; choice is the biggest driving force in my classroom. I give students the power to shape their learning and success by offering them choices, and using enforceable statements. My goal is that all students leave with a sense of accomplishment which has been shaped by them.
