Experience Summary
I have always been passionate about science, especially chemistry. Not only do I love the research or hands on aspects of chemistry, but also the fundamental “rules.” A strong knowledge of these fundamentals allows one to do really cool things in science. I obtained my B.S. in Chemistry from Clarkson University in 1999 and then earned my Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The Ohio State University in 2004. While I was attending graduate school I was a teaching assistant for several undergraduate and graduate recitations and/or laboratories in general chemistry, advanced analytical chemistry, analytical instrumentation, and vibrational spectroscopy. After graduating I spent over five years working as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. Although I do have a strong technical background, I find that I approach chemistry creatively, as I also have a B.A. in The Arts from Empire State College.
