Experience Summary
I have been fortunate enough to tutor students of grades 3rd-10th since I was in Middle School. Although I started without knowing the full benefits of tutoring, as I graduated High School and continued onto College, I have found the joy of teaching motivated students. I have tutored English, English as second language, basic math skills, and homework skills for 3rd and 4th graders. I then continued on to teach a group of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in the church I attend. I also have experience tutoring 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students with English, essay skills, Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra II. Other subject I have taught as a side is Korean speaking, writing, and reading skills.
Teaching Style
I have many experiences teaching one on one. It helps me, as a tutor, to focus on the learning skills of the student and to provide his or her needs. I breakdown math problems and essay questions into simple steps and help my students understand the question first, and then help them find the options they have in order to solve it. On the side, I also advise my students with studying skills and share my experiences studying each subject. I too have struggled in English or Math at one point as a student, and I believe that my struggles help me to have a closer relationship with my students.
My Hobbies
Other than my joy of tutoring students, I enjoy filming, editing, photography, and READING! I have also started golfing and so far I believe it is great for meditating!

It's hard to choose the right tutor for you or your children. I'll be happy to have you decide permanently if I am the right tutor for you or your children after a couple meets.
