Teaching Style
I have worked with children and adolescents for over 30 years in various capacities and not only have a substantial amount of experience in varying types of special needs, but have very good rapport with children of all ages. I thoroughly enjoy them and they seem to pick up on that quickly.
My approach to teaching revolves around determining the individual needs of the student, their strengths and weaknesses, and their particular learning style. I also feel it is very important to engage the student in participating as an important part of the learning process, gathering information on their likes and dislikes, their perception of their strengths and weaknesses, and what teaching techniques they feel work or do not work for them.
