Began studying Arabic in 1998 at the Defense Language Institute; worked as a linguist in the U.S. military from 2000 to 2003. Studied at The Ohio State University from 2004 to 2008. Studied abroad in Syria, Yemen, and Egypt. Returned to OSU to earn a Master's degree in Arabic; graduated in 2012. Taught Arabic at OSU; tutored for more than 10 years.
Teaching Style
The best language teachers teach you how to enjoy the language so that studying isn't a chore but a form of play! Memorization and communication becomes easy when it's entertaining. Some enjoy rote memorization; others learn through interaction and word games; most people enjoy combinations of many different kinds of learning. There is no one right way to learn a language; we can find the best way that works for you.
