Experience Summary
I have both experience in research and in education. I was a cancer researcher for the Wells Center for Pediatric Research for 6 1/2 years as well as being lab manager. I was responsible for all students who came through the lab in addition to my other duties. I also have been an educator for 6 years. In those 6 years, I have taught at the high school level and the middle school level. I have taught Biology, Botany, 7th grade academic Science, 7th grade honors Science, 8th grade academic Science, and 8th grade honors Science. I currently teach Biology at an online school so I am experienced at helping students both online and in person.
Teaching Style
I follow a very hands-on approach. I appreciate doing Science rather than just writing about Science. I thought also make sure that I differentiate all topics so that all students and their learning styles are covered. I also take the inquiry approach.
