Experience Summary
My name is Amanda Ryan. I graduated in 2010 from Arcadia University with a Bachelors in Education. I am elementary k-6 and special ed k-12 certified. I have experience as a Learning Support Teacher and Emotional Support teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. I am currently a multiple disability teacher for grades 3-5. I work with children who are medically fragile, intellectually disabled and have severe orthopedic impairments. I absolutely love what I do and I live to teach. Through my experience working with children who are non-verbal, I have learned many practices and strategies in order to meet the needs of the most diverse learners. I am qualified to tutor children with special needs, as well as children of average cognitive abilities in math, reading and writing.
I look forward to working with wonderful students!
Teaching Style
I use visuals, audio, assistive technology and other modalities that will meet a child's learning needs.
My Hobbies
As well as being a dedicated teacher, I am an animal activist, painter, writer and professional makeup artist. I enjoy spending time with my family and pets. I love to learn!
