Experience Summary
I am now a sophomore at Germanna Community College. I have taken Algebra, Biology, English, Contemporary Mathematics, and various psychology courses. I am continuing to take more math and science classes. As a high school student I took Algebra I and II, Biology, Duel Enrollment English, and various other courses. I have received high grades in the classes I have mentioned. I feel that the college courses are my strongest points, but high school English and Algebra are strong points for me as well. I have tutored various friends, mostly in Algebra. I have a college GPA of 3.8 and I am in an honor society. I feel that I could help many struggling students with various courses with my experience in these subjects.
Teaching Style
What I try to do first is get the student to work out the problem, and as they are doing that I will work the problem as well. We will go over our answers together so I have a chance to explain the problem to the student. I believe that repitition and practice makes perfect as long as you have someone to explain it along the way. I will thoroughly explain the problem to the student if they don't understand it. By the end I would hope that the student could then explain how to do the problem to me.
My Hobbies
I love baseball. I coach my little brother in baseball with my dad and I love it. I also love photography. I take prom, senior, and sports pictures. I also like to paint and do any type of crafts.
Other Comments
I hope to provide a sucessful and optimal tutoring session for various students. I am a very fun and nice person, and I think that I would make a great tutor.

In all three classes I wrote many papers and got good grades on all of them. I also had to write a 25 page term paper and received an A on the paper. I feel that I have very good and experienced writing composition skills. I receieved and A in all three classes. |
