Graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2005 with a degree in Russian Language and Literature. 1 semester in Russia at Petrozavodsk State University. Worked as an adjunct English instructor at Voronezh State Pedagogical University 2005 - 2006. 2008 - 2011 attended Chongqing Normal University in China, received a certificate for completion of a three year series of courses in Chinese Language and Culture, passed the Hanban/Confucius Institute HSK Chinese Proficiency Test Level 5 (Level 6 is the highest)
Teaching Style
Native speakers are better language teachers only at the advanced level. For beginning - intermediate level, a teacher who has learned a foreign language is better than a native speaker. I have a clear explanation for many of the problems you are facing, whereas a native speaker may just confuse you more.
