Experience Summary
10 years of publishing experience in the Printing Industry: 7500 Editwriter II, Compugraphic 8400 with Preview, PowerForm, WordPerfect 5.1, Pagemaker 4.0. Darkroom experience with negatives, half-tones, etc. Stripping and Platemaking for the ABDick 9850 printing press (which I operated for 3 years in high school). Materials produced: Brochures, Church Bulletins, Texas County Forms, Ballots, Event Calendars, Formal Invitations, Marketing materials and product labels, etc.
20 years of publishing experience with a professional publishing company: WordPerfect 5.1, Pagemaker 4.0, QuickSilver/Interleaf, Folio Views, XMetaL, Documentum, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint. Publishing professional guides in 3 mediums (print, online, and CD), and interactive software projects.
Teaching Style
I have been a trainer off and on throughout my career. I have been the go-to person at work for several years. I am a visual learner. If you can communicate what it is you want to learn, and I know it, I can teach it. I typically fly by the seat of my pants.

This is a course on graphics that can be molded to your preferred software of choice. This course is valued at the premium rate of $45 hr, and assumes that you have a basic understanding of typesetting parameters and measures. If you do not have this basic knowledge, the learning curve will bite into your actual software application tutorial time. |
