Experience Summary
My formal tutoring is limited to tutoring a freshman-level Physics study group at Dartmouth, but I've extensively participated in study groups for most of my schooling since high school. I have utmost confidence in my ability to logically convey mathematical and linguistic concepts in a way that helps students not only learn how to pass their tests, but also how to learn and comprehend new concepts independent of my tutoring. My ultimate goal is to help students think and study smarter, and also to help provide a bigger picture of how their current curriculum could influence their future careers and aspirations. I'm currently a rising senior at Dartmouth College, majoring in Physics after having participated in a study abroad in Tokyo.
Teaching Style
I am one of the most logical thinkers I know, so my teaching style is geared toward understanding individual concepts under the framework of analogous relationships (i.e. of grammatical patterns in Japanese, or of mathematical constructs) and relation to the bigger picture (how each individual concept builds upon the whole). I can break daunting theorems into very basic, digestable portions, and I hope to impart a bit of my style of thinking to students, to help them permanently excel in utilizing logic for academic challenges.
