I have a B.A. in Film from CSU-Long Beach with an emphasis in writing and critical studies. I also completed two years of full coursework as an English and Classical Studies major. In 2006 I was awarded the grand prize in the CSULB Film Department's annual critical essay contest. I have served as a staff writer for the online culture periodical Bandoppler.com. I have been a writer since my earliest school days and I continue to pursue creative writing and literature studies in my own time. As a junior high and high school student I excelled in spelling and was the county runner-up in the Nevada spelling bee while in seventh grade.
