Experience Summary
I am a Graphic Designer with nearly 15 years of professional experience in the marketing and advertising arenas of the Healthcare, Education and Entertainment industries. I work any design challenge presented; small or large, print or web/email advertising based. I work mostly on MAC's but can, and have, worked on PC's up to the current Windows 7 platform. I have extensive experience with the Adobe Creative Suites: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat, up to CS5.5. I create and develop original artwork, imaging, illustration and design layouts. I design and establish branding identities, coordinate marketing campaign collateral and actively participate in the architecture of the visualization of product marketing, placement and recognition. While I do not construct websites, I create website design and build web content in collaboration with technical 'web-masters' and am proficient in the modality and language of web-based design.
Teaching Style
I don't assume that I know what someone needs or wants to learn. I'm a tell-me-what-you-want-to-know tutor. As there are very few hard and fast rules to Graphic Design, and it is largely hinged on artistic insight and principals, I stay flexible and open to providing solutions to specific needs and wants. My objective is to provide a direct, no-nonsense, solution that can be easily put to effective use immediately or in the future; and one that provides a foundation to build on, embellish or improve.
