Teaching Style
I lead students in the direction they desire by encouraging voice within their writing. Voice gives way to ownership of each individual's writing; one feels directly connected to the writing process by engaging with their voice. I support all writing styles and offer direction in relieving writer's block. I am open to the individual's choices within the writing process and provide support and the means for the student to succeed. I can help you with grammar, spelling, fluency, thesis preparation and development.
My Hobbies
I enjoy writing and teaching. I also enjoy outdoor activities with my 2 children. I have 3 cats and would love to meet you for coffee and tutoring.
Other Comments
I achieved my educational accomplishments while single-parenting 2 children, one of which suffers from ADHD. I tutor him in the subjects of reading and writing and I am pleased to say he is almost at grade level and should be able to reach benchmark.
