Experience Summary
I am currently teaching a class to 13 year olds at Beth Sinai school. Last year I tutored one on one at the Bertlitz School in Palo Alto; since 2007 I have also tutored one on one on a private basis at home. Prior to that I also taught college level history courses while finishing my MA degree. I have taught and tutored a variety of subjects from Ethics, to World history, US History & African History; Hebrew; Writing: and Current affairs.
Teaching Style
My teaching style places emphasis on discussion and debate and allowing the students reach the needed conclusions as much as possible by themeselves. I believe that studying by rote and memorization does not really contribute to the student's ovarall ability to learn how to think and how to analyze new material.
My Hobbies
My hobbies include reading & writing; hiking; model rocketry & collecting nautical memorabilia.
