Experience Summary
I worked as a tutor in the Math Learning Center at Michigan State University for 3 years, and was also a teaching assistant for a precalculus for a semester while attending MSU. I have a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Michigan State, and have completed a semester of student teaching and graduate certification courses in teaching mathematics.
Teaching Style
I like to use what the student already knows to prompt them forward into discovering how to complete the problem at hand on their own with guidance. I think this help connects the new material to the material the student already knows, which, in turn, will help them remember and understand it better.
