Experience Summary
I retired from an aerospace company in the area and also just retired from USN Reserve.
I was a part time AutoCAD instructor for a couple Vocational Institutes or Colleges. I served under Special Projects, trained Engineers, Architects, Draftspersons, Interior Designers and other professionals in the design trade in the use of CAD Software. I prepared the syllabus and exercises. Researched solutions to problems that were beneficial to the students/trainees. Maintained proficiency with software used.
I was an Adjunct Instructor in Pasadena City College from 2002 to 2006. I taught classes/laboratory in 2- and 3-Dimensional Computer-Aided-Drafting/Design. I planned and prepared the syllabus, exercises and laboratory works. I evaluated students’ progress. I reviewed, evaluated and recommended the text/laboratory book. Maintained proficiency with software used.
I can tailor the subject matter to suit the students' needs, considering what he or she already knew.
My approach in tutoring is different to my approach in classroom teaching. In tutoring the TUTEE is always in front of the computer so he or she can apply what I am saying or teaching. In short words it is more hands on since this is COMPUTER-AIDED subject.
I started learning/investigating AutoCAD in 1982.
Aside from Autocad I can also teach Basic INVENTOR, Basic SOLIDWORKS and other 3D CAD Software.
I have a California Community Colleges Teaching Credential and a Preliminary Designated Career Technical Education Teaching Credential.
I can speak the Philippine language and dialect fluently.
