Experience Summary
Currently working as a chinese tutor. My family moved to Michigan 1 month ago from Massachusetts. In MA, I worked as a private Mandarin/Chinese tutor in Cambridge MA (2011); I taught two American student aged 11 and 13 years old. I taught them not only communication but also writing and reading in Mandarin. I was also the volunteer of Mandarin/Chinese Immersion Program in Martin Luther King’s Elementary School in Cambridge MA (2011). I was involved in preparation of teaching materials in Mandarin and search for suitable Mandarin reading materials for kids aged from pre-elementary to elementary.
Teaching Style
I am a patient and responsible person; I love to interact with students and kids. I understand that learning language is a process requiring practice and encouragement; therefore I talk to my students in Mandarin as much as possible in classes and give them confidence of using Mandarin anytime in their life.
