Experience Summary
As a child my dream was to educate and inspire others to achieve their dreams. That dream is now a reality. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and hold a teaching certification, inclusively. My passion has been to incorporate my creative style in a structured setting by using Howard Gardener’s Multiple Intelligence methodology, as well as, sensory objectives as the key to reach a diverse body of learners. During and after my internship, I explored mentoring, tutoring and substitute teaching.
Teaching Style
From a very early age, I have always been connected with teaching children. I knew that this was what I wanted to do, influence a child’s life, and there couldn’t be a better way to do it. I believe all students are able to learn given the tools and knowledge. I teach them to become inquisitive and curious about their learning while using a Constructivist methodology including Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence. All of the students that I have taught have made incredible growths in reading (phonics, fluency, phonemic awareness, comprehension, and vocabulary), math, and critical thinking. With these tools in my back pocket, I am certain that every one of my students will make the kinds of gains necessary for everyday life.
My Hobbies
Fishing, Hiking, Swimming, spending time with family
