Experience Summary
My summary of experience is that as a mother and big sister I have had all types of situations presented before me,and I have had to problem solve quickly while considering the choices that I may have make may not be pleasant but choices that were not made without thinking of how the choice may affect others.
While earning my BA I have learned about several types of adult and children behaviors, from mental development to disabilities. I had a home day care ,and really enjoyed challenging and watching babies grow into toddlers and on to preschool.I'm very happy and proud when a child sees me out and about and recognizes me as not just their babysitter, but as their teacher and friend.
Teaching Style
I like diversity when teaching and incorporating the use of technology to help the diverse learner.
The teaching style I like to relate to is that of Maria Montessori, because I like to set up scenarios and encourage the child to problem solve and be creative at their own pace. I do believe that a prepared environment can motivate a child.
