Experience Summary
I graduated in 1965 as a teacher of French and have been teaching French in various high-schools and francophone universities in Viet Nam until 2002, year where I have had my diploma of Maitrise in Teaching French as a Foreign Language delivered by the University of Rouen and I emigrated to the US.I started studying The courses of French literature for the degree of Master in French literature and have finished my thesis on techniques of teaching French for Vietnamese students to be submitted next Spring Semester.Teaching is my vocation and tutoring is part of it.
Teaching Style
From my experience, tutoring is the best and most efficient way for a person to learn French as a foreign language due to the personal and direct contact between teacher and learner. The communicative approach in teaching helps the student to develop rapidly the communication skills which cannot be developped in large classes.The written homeworks consolidate the speaking skills as well as the memorizaton of the target language.
