Experience Summary
I have a dual Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I graduated in 1999 and have taught and tutored Spanish for more than 10 years and I love the language and culture. My specialties are grammar, translation, pronunciation and conversation.
Additionally, my professional experiences involve resume writing, job search coaching, professional development, HR general functions and college and academic counseling/advising.
Teaching Style
I have experience designing customized plans of study for Spanish tutoring, ranging from beginner to advanced. I meet and consult with students/parents ages 5 and up, regarding subject strength and weaknesses and move at an appropriate student-centered pace during instruction. I also monitor students’ progress via quizzes, worksheets and classroom assignments and encourage oral and written mastery via exercises, dialogues and hands-on activities.
