Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate of Northern Arizona University with degrees in Anthropology and Religious Studies with Honors and Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0. I am also fairly fluent in Spanish; I took classes in both high school and at the university level, and spent a summer volunteering in Costa Rica in a Spanish-only village. My studies provided me with a solid education of many different cultures and traditions, and as a Teaching Assistant I needed to work with people of different backgrounds and lifestyles. I was there as a resource for students, and enjoy teaching and working with others.
Teaching Style
I am comfortable of working with people of all ages, but I especially enjoy teaching children. I am very interested in education; I believe it is one of the most powerful yet underestimated tools we can employ. My studies provided me with a solid background of many different cultures and traditions, which can be incredibly valuable in an educational setting, as education requires a variety of communication skills to adapt to different learning styles. I want to help youth enjoy learning, and encourage them to succeed and be proud of themselves.
