Experience Summary
I have worked extensively with students in academics and many extracurricular activities for 5 years. I have worked with students as a teacher/tutor in math, oral language, reading, study skills, and writing. In addition, I worked as an Assistant Teacher for Audeo Charter School for 2 years. As an assistant teacher, I worked with students from 6th-12th grade - helping them with their work (i.e. composing essays, conducting research, or solving math problems). In addition to my duties, I also assist students in organizing and preparing their lessons, plus grading their work. I am also responsible for the classroom whenever the head teacher is not in. I have also worked for High Tech High for over a year now as an Academic Coach.
Teaching Style
I love math challenging myself and working with children (students). With my math skills and the patience I've acquired over the years, working with students will allow me to share those skills and knowledge with the next generation (the youth), and I believe that any student that I will get a chance to work with, will benefit from me, and I will do my best to contribute to their learning experience. I also believe that I will benefit from the students - as I am hoping that I will become a teacher myself in the near future.
