Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of Vermont and earned a BS in Civil Engineering. I am a licensed engineer in Pennsylvania and have 7 years experience in land development. I have prepared numerous technical reports and have provided cross-training to coworkers in software programs and business practices. Some of my college course work included Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, and Statistics. I have experience tutoring college students in basic Physics concepts, by providing guidance in completing homework assignments and preparing for exams. I also have experience as a day camp instructor, where I supervised and instructed young children in various academic, athletic, social, and craft activities.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with children and I believe that positive reinforcement and encouragement are two of the most important things a teacher can provide to students. I consider myself a patient and understanding person. I am organized and goal-oriented but believe it is important to maintain a relaxed atmosphere.
