Experience Summary
I am a dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the academic growth and development of every student. My interpersonal and communication skills foster meaningful relationships with students and parents. As a substitute teacher I wrote IEPs for 7th grade students for 6 months. Also, I have been a Title One reading teacher for 1st and 2nd grade students. I had a contract to teach 5th grade students for 8 years and 3rd grade for two years.
Teaching Style
As an elementary teacher for 10 years, I am a versatile, flexible individual with the talent to develop lessons for every child's learning style and ability. I believe all students can learn and benefit from differentiated instruction (i.e. one-on-one, whole group, etc.) Technology is integrated into my teaching through Web Quests, Power Point, Smart Board and spreadsheets. It is my desire to make a difference in all of my student's lives.
