Experience Summary
During my freshman year at the University of Missouri, I showed a great understanding of two upper level calculus courses (Calculus II and Calculus III) and became a part-time math tutor for the university. While completing the requirements for a BS in Civil Engineering, I spent the last 3 years of the program tutoring math students in courses such as Calculus I, II, and a little bit of Calculus III. I also helped many students with Pre-Calculus or Math Analysis courses. Although my main responsibility was tutoring math, I also spent time tutoring a few students in general science/engineering courses such as physics and statics.
Teaching Style
I grew and learned a lot as a tutor during my time working at the University of Missouri. Everyone learns a different way and at different paces, so it was important to be patient and easy-going. I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn any subject they desire if they have the proper guidance and motivation. I am confident that I can make a difference in a child's life by providing the guidance and instruction necessary to achieve all their goals.
