Experience Summary
I graduated from Adams State College in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and an Emphasis in Literacy. I was a substitute teacher for grades K-5 for one semester. I began teaching Third Grade in the Fall of 2005. I taught all general subjects as a Third Grade teacher for 4 years. I also have experience as a Fifth Grade reading teacher. I resigned at the end of the 2009-2010 school year in order to pursue a degree in the area of Medical Assisting.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very hands on. I feel that student engagement is essential for learning to take place. I hold high expectations for all learners. Communication between the student, teacher, and parent(s)is very important for successful and productive acedemic achievement. I feel that it is very rewarding to help students reach their full potential.
