Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Accounting in 1992. During the past 18 years, I have worked for small, medium, and large companies while mastering every aspect of Accounting. Currently, I work as a consultant for a very diverse client base that require me to perform each individual role within an Accounting Department in addition to analyzing and interpreting all financials while presenting my numbers at all executive meetings. My clients count on my input to find solutions that will grow new revenue streams and limit costs so they can grow their companies.
Recently, I added taxation to my skill set. I am a Certified Tax Preparer specializing in individual and corporate tax returns.
Teaching Style
Both my mother and my sister are teachers. I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with others. Currently, I tutor my two daughters with all their subjects. My 15 year-old has a 4.2 GPA and my 11 year-old has a 3.9 GPA.
One key skill I mastered at work, and as a consultant, is my mentoring of my staff. I want to teach my staff everything I know so they can not only be very productive but also understand the big picture.
My teaching method consists of me finding out my student's strengths and weaknesses with his/her knowledge of the subject. We will discuss how he/she best learns and then I develop a plan that we will execute to reach our goal. I find this method works best with anyone I tutor.
