Experience Summary
I have just completed Pennsylvania State teaching certification last Spring from Arcadia University, student teaching at Cheltenham High School teaching chemistry. My previous experience includes spending 26 years in a large pharmaceutical research organization doing medicinal chemistry research. Previous to that, I spend time in graduate school at Arizona State University where I was a teaching assistant, both at the freshmen general chemistry and later organic chemistry level.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching very much and have found that what I like best is teaching one on one. I believe that knowing a little bit of chemistry is a useful skill. I think learning chemistry should be fun and an area where understanding by discovery is a way to teaching people to think and how to communicate. As a second career, I hope to pass on my knowledge of chemistry as well as a lot of my experience in the field.
