Experience Summary
I have been in the Financial Accounting, Information Systems and Business Administration arena for over 15 years of which training has served as the catalyst for my passion as an educator. I have since pursued my master’s degree in education and plan to become an instructor on a full time basis. In addition, the scope of my tutoring experience range from elementary (K-12), post secondary and adult education curriculum. My specialty subjects are math, reading (K-12), Algebra (post secondary) and the full spectrum of adult education. These subjects include tutoring ESL students.
Teaching Style
As an experienced tutor and trainer, I have been exposed to several learning styles and have adapted my instructional techniques to optimize the potential of the learner’s experience. Consequently, the most effective tutoring style has been of the multiple intelligence nature. It takes into consideration that every learner is not the same and a “cookie cutter” solution cannot address the challenges of every student. Therefore, I have adopted an instructional style that collaborates with the learner and is learner focused allowing for the learner to become empowered.
