Experience Summary
I have about 10 years teaching experience in both the middle school and high school level. Some of the subjects I have taught include American History, World History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and Earth Science. For the last 6 years I have been teaching primarily mathematics courses: Pre-algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, and Pre-calculus. Because I had to take many courses for my master’s degree, I also have excellent skills in writing term papers, reports, and papers. Since I have graded and read many papers, I know what teachers’ expectations are for papers and what makes the difference between an “A” paper and a “B” paper.
Teaching Style
I desire to see every student succeed in life. Succeeding in school is a big part of learning to become successful in your life. Not so much the individual grades that a student gets, but learning responsibility, perseverance, goal-setting, and striving to do your best. Many students feel like failures through no fault of their own. I love to help students realize success and begin to believe in themselves. I believe that one person can make a difference in a child’s life, and I want to be that person. Each student is an individual, so my style of teaching would depend on your child and the topic.
