Experience Summary
I have taught high school Accounting, Finance, Computer Applications, Web Design classes for the past 11 years. I do have experience teaching Accounting at the junior college level as well. In 2004, I was chosen Teacher-of The-Year by my colleagues and students. I am proficient in teaching job skills, study skills, as well as college preparation exams.
I have served on the school district's curriculum review board, Faculty Advisory Board and am a member of the Society of CPA's.
Teaching Style
Teaching in a major metropolitan school district has allowed me to teach among a very diverse population. I use a variety of teaching strategies and assess my students' progress regularly. I have extensive training in measuring the learning needs of students. My strength in teaching stems from maintaining a positive learning environment, teaching at levels my students are comfortable with, and encouraging higher level thinking skills.
Major subjects I am experienced in (11 years) are Accounting, Finance, Computer Applications, ACT Preparation, Job Skills, and Business Writing.
