Experience Summary
My experience includes 2 years as a Youth Counselor for the City of Tallahassee (1999 & 2001). I am also the oldest of 5 children with the age difference ranging from 6-16 years, so I've had the responsibility of assisting my siblings with school work. I currently continue to provide assistance as requested by my parents or siblings. I recently began mentoring a prospective accounting major who is in her 2nd year of college and I provide help with her studies. In High School, I took accounting courses as elective and participated in FBLA (a business club) and won first place in an accounting competition (2000). My work experience includes 3 years of general accounting and 2 years of specializing in tax accounting.
Teaching Style
My first goal is determine the level the student is currently at with the particular subject and work my way forward from there. I determine exactly what the student doesn't understand and attempt to break it down for them as much as possible until it's clear.
