Experience Summary
Besides my formal degrees, I believe it is my experience that makes me highly qualified for a tutoring position. My experiences include working in rural, urban and suburban school districts. I have also worked with children with disabilities through the Center for Disabled and as a special education teacher in an inclusion classroom. Through my graduate program, I tutored at a summer reading program. During this six week summer reading program, I used a balanced literacy approach to help my student become a more confident reader and increase her current reading level.
Teaching Style
When students have both an academic instructor and a caring educator they are provided with a unique learning experience and able to learn and grow as an individual. Each child deserves a right to a fair education, and it is my number one priority as an educator to provide that. The impact a teacher makes on a child can last forever. Children may forget some of the facts they were taught, but they will always remember how the teacher interacted with them. In my eyes every child is a gift and though they may not all learn the same, or act the same; every one of them deserves to be treated with respect and provided with a meaningful learning experience.
