Experience Summary
My experience consists of tutoring college students in the subject areas I learned for a Bachelors degree in Health Science. This consists of: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, Anatomy, and Biology.
I also have experience teaching children soccer. I played collegiate soccer and I was involved in many soccer camps teaching children the basic skills of soccer as well as communication and self-esteem.
I now have been accepted to teach adults at the Church I go to. This is on Thursdays and my title is volunteer teacher.
Teaching Style
The teaching style I have is really a mix of all styles. I was exposed to teaching classes as an undergraduate student. One class really taught me the importance of building a teaching style with all of the learning styles involved. Whether it is visual, kinesthetic, audio, or reading, a good teacher will take the time to incorporate all of these into their style. I think this is so important especially when working with children because a child is at a very impressionable age with great imagination. When all of these styles are incorporated it brings the learner a well rounded approach that allows them to stay engaged and adapt to all styles of learning, making them a well rounded student.
