Experience Summary
I began tutoring while in high school. I worked with children in Kindergarten and First Grade. I continued tutoring children through two Americorps terms with Communities In Schools in Ardmore, Oklahoma. While in college, I worked as a substitute teacher for the elementary schools in the Ardmore area. I now have my Early Childhood and Elementary Education Teaching License in which I am certified to teach Pre-School-8th grade. I worked as a First Grade Teacher at Charles Evans Elementary in Ardmore, Oklahoma from August 2008- August 2009. I worked as a Long Term Substitute at Ridgecrest Elementary in Lawton, Oklahoma from October 2009- May 2010.
Teaching Style
I have worked with many different children on many different academic levels. Through my experiences, I have found that any student can be successful. It is my job as an educator to find the style of learning that will benefit each child I work with. Every child is special and all have the potential to excel in academics if given the right tools to work with.
