Experience Summary
My first experiences with tutoring were as a volunteer when I was an undergraduate. I tutored a variety of students from children to adults and found great joy in being able to help them learn math. During my time as a graduate student, I have tutored many students ranging from a group of 3rd graders to college level students. I have also taught college level courses, which gives me the unique perspective of knowing what a teacher expects from his/her students.
Teaching Style
I love teaching math. I personally believe that all people can master and succeed in math. I find each student approaches math from a different perspective, and it is my goal to determine this perspective and use it to best teach him/her the subject. I have been told that my love of math makes those that I teach and tutor more excited about math. My goal is to help my students learn math, to relieve their anxiety, and to make a difference in their lives.
