Experience Summary
I have recently completed my MBA at national University. I currently teach high school part time at a alternative high school. This recent experience provided me with opportunity to work with students in a one-on-one basis as well as familiarize myself with every core class offered in the high school program. I feel I can comfortably teach French as I studied French in Montreal when I lived there. I speak the language fluently. I also feel I can teach k-12 Science classes, specifically Biology and Earth Science. I have a Master's Degree in Business and am comfortable in any area of instruction in business. I have also owned and managed several businesses and have real world experience to share as examples.
Teaching Style
I feel I learn as much as I teach. I value every student that I have the opportunity to work with. I have learned some students just need to overcoming their dislike of a subject. For others, a key subject building block had been built properly (as in Math) and as a result the rest of the information was sitting unstable in their minds. Finding where the support is needed and then working to solidify the skill then leads to greater confidence and greater academic achievement, Most students I work with appreciate that I am fair but firm. I want to succeed. It is a win-win.
