Experience Summary
I have received my degree in accounting as well as an MBA in international business with a high GPA. I have been in the tax accounting field for 15 years working in large corporations as well as small and large public accounting firms. I have also taught at the local junior college instructing various accounting classes (i.e. Intermediate Accounting I & II, Income Tax, Cost Accounting and Information Systems for Accounting) on a part-time basis over a 5 year time period. Since I have worked in the tax field for 15 years, I have gained a lot of knowledge and expertise of how accounting is reported for various companies.
Teaching Style
I have great aspirations of teaching students of all levels by illustrating and discussing the principles of accounting. I enjoy interacting with students by providing real-life examples to how accounting works in various businesses. Not all students may understand the first example; therefore, I may need to provide several to have all the students understand a particular concept. My goal as a teacher is to explain the complete accounting cycle to a student and that they understand it.
