Experience Summary
During High School I coached the Middle School Math Counts Team for 3 years.
While in College I tutored various mathematics subjects for 4 years. These subjects included everything from Algebra to upper level mathematics such as Calculus.
Over the last 2 years I have been tutoring for Ivy League Tutoring, Varsity Tutors and also done private tutoring as well.
The age ranges have been from Middle School to College and the subjects have included Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry and many other subjects.
Teaching Style
I have always loved working with students of all ages. In college I got a Communication Studies degree in addition to my mathematics degree as I have always loved working with other people. I am a very patient teacher. I also try to reach students by using examples and at times unconventional ways. The truth is students learn in many different ways. Often students get lost in the classroom because they learn a different way even though they are fully capable of learning the material. It is important to find out how to reach that student and bring back fun to learning.
