Experience Summary
I am a highly qualified/certified fourth-fifth grade teacher. I have a Masters in Elementary Education in grades K-8. I have six years of successful experience teaching students in these grades.
During the 2009-2010 school year, my students' third and fourth grade AIMS scores contributed to the school reaching its goal as a "Performing" School, which is recognized by the "Arizona Learns" standards.
During the 2006-2007 school year, my elementary students' AIMS scores contributed the 38 percent of the increase needed for the school to reach its goal of making "Adequate Yearly Progress". As a teacher, I was publicly recognized in the spring of 2007 by the School District's Governing Board for that accomplishment.
Teaching Style
I absolutely love teaching children of all ages. Every student is capable of success and I do not take the responsibility of reaching a child's absolute maximum lightly.
As a teacher, I get to know each and every child by assessing their needs and discovering what learning/teaching style works best for them. Every child in my class walks out the door each and every day knowing they learned something and are able to aquire knowledge and skill to anything they put their mind to.
I am devoted and passionate about teaching. My students consider me patient, fair, and caring. I expect great things because I know every child can do great things.
