Experience Summary
As a high school chemistry teacher, I am passionate about making science fun and understandable. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in secondary education from Arizona State University. I earned a bachelor's degree in journalism while completing the pre-medicine track at the University of Arizona. My work as a science journalist and my science background make me particularly well-equipped to tutor students in chemistry, biology, and English.
Teaching Style
I strongly believe every student is capable of learning. My experience in the classroom has taught me to respect every student and hold each one to incredibly high expectations. I am relaxed, patient, and always looking for ways to foster conceptual understanding of the material, rather than rote memorization. I believe inspiring and encouraging students is a teacher's most important job.
