Experience Summary
In 2006 I attended Pacific Lutheran University earning my masters degree in educational leadership with endorsements in special education, reading, and elementary education. After graduate school, I found a job in a middle school EBD classroom. Here I designed my own behavior management program, managed education plans, and created lessons that were exciting and engaging for my students. I worked in this classroom for 2 years. Last year, I began working in an elementary EBD classroom with students in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4. I create and manage IEPs and teach a variety of subject matter to a variety of academic levels. I have taught all subjects grades k - 8 during my teaching career.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students deserve a chance to be successful, and my teaching goal is to find ways that allow them to be. I understand that success comes in many forms, and I believe even the littlest successes should be praised to help build up a child's academic attitude. I treat all students with respect and expect that they show me respect in return. I am extremely patient, positive and hard working. I love teaching, and hope that I can help those that I work with reach their full potentials.
