Experience Summary
As a Student in the Exceptional Learners program at Indiana Wesleyan University, I am well prepared to assist students with their studies. I have a bachelor degree in Accounting and feel very confident in my ability to assist students with improving their math skills. I have homeschooled my daughter during her second grade school year which included developing a curriculum, teaching her all school subjects and arranging extra-curriculum activities. I enjoy children and adults and have assisted both in school and also in computer skills.
Teaching Style
As a parent of two children in special education, I understand that children learn in different ways. I am very patient with children and understand firsthand how learning can be a challenge. I believe that all children can learn, but not every child learns in a non-traditional way. I believe that assessing students continually is the key to knowing what a child needs to in order to master subject material. By exploring all mediums available, learning can be achieved and increased confidence and self-esteem will follow.
