Experience Summary
Throughout college and graduate school I've always driven myself to be at the top of my class. I have earned a bachelors, MS, and PhD in Psychology, which has not only helped develop my interpersonal skills, but has also made me well versed in grammar and writing research papers not only for class, but for publication in scientific journals as well. In the last eight years I have tutored students in statistics, English, psychology, basic math, and science.
Teaching Style
The most important thing I've learned over the last 10 years is that children do not all learn the same way. For some children I need to think outside the box and come up with a creative way of explaining a concept in order for the child to understand. I want children to experience academic success and will take the time to patiently explain concepts that may be particularly difficult. I believe that with the appropriate environment and learning experiences all children can succeed academically.
